Regulatory and Governance


In a fast evolving capital market, there is a constant need to understand and update regulations so that they remain relevant and effective locally and internationally. An accountant is expected to be knowledgeable and well-rounded in other regulatory requirements, other than the accounting knowledge on financial statements. Hence, the Regulatory and Governance unit was formed to assist members in these other regulations that affect the accountancy profession.

The technical committees which were formed to support this unit are as follows:-

This unit functions as a channel to update members through circulars, e-news and website, as well as a conduit to allow our members to channel their views and maintain dialogues with the relevant authorities. In addition, we also provide comments and respond to proposals and consultation documents affecting the accountancy profession.
