Dr. Veerinderjeet Singh
President


Dr Veerinderjeet Singh was elected by the Council as the MIA President on 26 September 2020.

Acknowledged as a leading expert in accountancy and taxation, Dr Veerinderjeet Singh commenced his current term on the MIA Council when he was appointed as a member on 25 May 2019.

He is currently the President of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and is a Non-Executive Chairman of Tricor Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. He was also Past President of the Chartered Tax institute of Malaysia (CTIM) from 2007 to 2010.

With over 40 years of diverse experience in the fields of accounting, taxation and commerce, Dr Veerinderjeet has served in the Inland Revenue Department, University of Malaya (as an Associate Professor), Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young (as a Tax Partner/Executive Director) and authored several influential and authoritative tax publications. Dr Veerinderjeet also sits on the Boards of Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad, AmBank (M) Berhad and UMW Holdings Berhad. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Monash University, Malaysia and the current Chair of the Monash Business School Industry Advisory Board.

Globally, Dr Veerinderjeet contributes his expertise as a member of the Commission on Taxation of the International Chamber of Commerce based in Paris and a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (a tax research and consultancy body) based in Amsterdam.



Bazlan Osman
Vice President


Datuk Bazlan Osman was elected by the council as the Vice President on 30 July 2021. Previously he was appointed as MIA Council member on 1 December 2019.

He sits on the board of five public listed companies, namely as an Independent Non Executive Chairman of Fima Corporation Berhad, and as Independent Non Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad, Glomac Berhad and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. He is also a director of Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC).

He was formerly an Executive Director of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM). His last position in TM was Acting Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and was also the Deputy GCEO. Prior to that he was the Group Chief Financial Officer of TM.

Datuk Bazlan holds a Diploma in Accounting from Polytechnic of North London and had attended senior leadership management programs at the University of Oxford’s SAID Business School, and IMD.

Datuk Bazlan is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is also the Chair of the ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee.



Dr. Wan Ahmad Rudirman Wan Razak
Chief Executive Officer


Dr Wan Ahmad Rudirman Wan Razak joined MIA as the CEO on 28 March 2022.

Prior to joining MIA, Dr Wan Ahmad Rudirman amassed extensive C-suite and Board experience in GLCs and PLCs. His last role was as the President/Group Chief Executive Officer of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd (Terengganu Inc), the strategic investment arm of the State Government of Terengganu. He led Terengganu Inc’s restructuring exercise to streamline and strengthen the Group across diverse sectors including Plantation, Oil & Gas Support Services, Natural Resources, Real Estate, Property Development & Construction and Healthcare.

Dr Wan Ahmad Rudirman was also the Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Selia Ekuiti Sdn Bhd, the holding company for Selia Group, where he spearheaded the Group’s eventual listing on Bursa Malaysia. He was also the Director of Selia Selenggara Sdn Bhd, a company primarily involved in the maintenance of federal roads in Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Johor, and the Director of Southkey City, a prominent property development company developing a 300-acre township in Johor Bahru.

In the span of his career prior to Selia Group, Dr. Wan was the Group Chief Operating Officer and Group General Manager (Operation Services) of KUB Malaysia Berhad., and a Board member of KUB Builders Sdn Bhd, Precast Products Sdn Bhd, A&W Malaysia Sdn Bhd, A&W Thailand Pte Ltd, Summit Petroleum (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, KUB Telekomunikasi Sdn Bhd, KFT (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and KUB Agrotech Sdn Bhd. During his tenure at KUB, he was also the Principal and Director of Institut Teknologi Tun Abdul Razak (ITTAR), a member of the Employees Share Scheme Committee, Management Committee, and the Deputy Chairman of KUB Builders Sdn Bhd.

Prior to that, Dr. Wan was the Head of Corporate Strategy, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, where he led the Corporate Strategy division under the Managing Director’s Office, responsible for developing and executing a 5-year Business Plan and Key Performance Indicators for senior management.

Dr. Wan has also accumulated significant experience in the education sector, where he was appointed as the Chairman of Education Support Services Monitoring Committee DPPT III of Yayasan Pelajaran MARA, Chairman (Alternate) of Audit Committee of Yayasan Pelajaran MARA, member of the Board of Directors of Kolej Ketengah Sdn Bhd, and member of the Advisory Board for University Malaysia Terengganu. In the public sector, Dr. Wan was appointed as a Board Member and Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee of Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Minister of Finance (Incorporated) and as a Council Member of the Dungun Development Board.

A passionate proponent of the power of knowledge, Dr. Rudirman holds a doctorate in Business Administration from the University of South Australia Adelaide, Australia, an MBA from the University of North London, UK, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Portsmouth, UK and a Diploma in Accounting from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.
