WCOA 2010 Presentation in Istanbul

After winning the bid for the 18th World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) which will be held in Kuala Lumpur in 2010 and setting up a steering committee to lead this process, the Institute sent a delegation to attend the 17th World Congress of Accountants which was held in Istanbul, Turkey in November last year.

At the closing of the congress, its organising committee chairman Y.C. Lee addressed the delegates at the conference, telling them what to expect at the next conference. A welcome message featuring the Malaysian Prime Minister YB Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was also featured during the event. Apart from that, MIA and Tourism Malaysia set-up a booth at the congress’s exhibition hall to promote the World Congress 2010 and Malaysia to the international audiences gathered there at the time.
