Sarawak Branch helps out Special Children

Further continuing with the Accountants Care Too campaign to which aims to help those who need it, MIA Sarawak Branch staff delivered 50 toys to the children of the Early Intervention Programme (four to six years) in Perkata Special School in Kuching. The school principal, Doreen Tie, received the toys from MIA Sarawak Branch Vice-Chairman Yeo Ah Tee.

Soon after that, the Sarawak Branch staff, in collaboration with Diploma in Accountancy Society of UiTM Sarawak Campus collected stationeries from members and member firms and donated them to older children from the same school.

Perkata Special School is operated by Persatuan Bagi Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Terencat Akal, Sarawak. These intellectually disabled children from four to 17 years of age (currently 160 children) attend regular school sessions with a curriculum aimed at giving them a chance to achieve greater personal independence and social skills.
