Regional Conference 2008 – Kota Kinabalu
The Malaysian Institute of Accountants’ Regional
Conferences have always been the highlight in the
calendar of every accountant, financial professional
and business leader in the various regions of
Malaysia and neighbouring countries.
Follow the success of the conference in 2007, which
focused on the Iskandar Development Region of Johor,
this year’s Regional Conference will be held in Kota
Kinabalu, or we call it the "Land Below The Wind".
The main focus of this Conference is the Sabah
Development Corridor (SDC) which was launched by our
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on
29 January 2008. It is a 18-years project that will
bring a total of RM105bil in investments, 900,000
jobs, a waterfront city, tourism projects and a
RM600mil new Sabah Railway terminal once the SDC is
completed.
The Conference covers latest information on selected
investment and business opportunities coupled with
the economic development and trends of east
Malaysia.
