Professional Accountants in Business

About

1. Objective
 

“MIA's effort in providing its members who are accountants in sectors of commerce, industry, public, education and non-profit organisations is extended through the Public Accountants in Business (PAIB) committee. Working hand in hand with the Internal Audit Working Group, the committee functions by assisting MIA members in enhancing their professional skills and knowledge by providing a channel for exchange of information on important issues that shape the profession. The Committee also strives to facilitate the adoption and development of best practices with the purpose of promoting the value of professional accountants in business.”

To study and/or review suitable publications issued by the Professional Accountants in Business Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and/or other relevant sources and to promote the publications to members and the public at large.

2.2

To provide a channel for exchange of information to members and member bodies of IFAC regarding current developments and emerging issues that are of importance to professional accountants in business.

2.3

To recommend topics for seminars and other programs that are relevant to professional accountants in business.

2.4

To identify and recommend research subjects/topics of current issues and/or matters of importance to professional accountants in business.

2.5

To develop and issue to members statements of best practices in areas of critical importance to professional accountants in business.

To promote the value of professional accountants in business.
