1. Objectives

To investigate any complaints made against any member in the manner laid down in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (Disciplinary) Rules 2001 and, where it considers as justified, shall refer the matter to the Disciplinary Committee.

2. Accountability

The Committee will report to the Council.

3. Scope and Authority

Within the authority given to it by virtue of the Accountants Act, 1967, the key task of the Investigation Committee is to:
   
- To investigate any complaints made against any member in the manner laid down in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (Disciplinary) Rules 2001 and, where it considers as justified, shall refer the matter to the Disciplinary Committee.
   
4. Term of Office
   
  a) Composition
   
  The composition of the Committee shall be determined by the Council.
   
  b) Quorum
   
  The quorum for the Committee meetings shall be 3 members.
   
  c) Meetings
   
  The Committee shall meet as and when required.
