1. Objectives

To consider all cases referred by the Investigation Committee and those coming directly to the Disciplinary Committee and to exercise disciplinary powers conferred upon it by the Rules of the Institute as it thinks fit.

2. Accountability

The Committee will report on administrative matters to the Council.

3. Scope and Authority

Within the authority given to it by virtue of the Accountants Act, 1967, the key tasks of the Disciplinary Committee is to consider all cases referred by the Investigation Committee and those coming directly to the Disciplinary Committee and to exercise disciplinary powers conferred upon it by the Rules of the Institute as it thinks fit.

4. Term of Office

	a) Composition
	The composition of the Committee shall be determined by the Council.
	b) Quorum
	The quorum for the Committee meetings shall be 3 members.
	c) Meetings
	The Committee shall meet as and when required.
