Regulatory Guidelines

In this profession of fast evolving regulatory requirements, an accountant is expected to understand and comprehend more than the norm knowledge of preparing financial statements. The framework of the accountancy profession is wide and there are many other regulations that an accountant is expected to be familiar with. The Regulatory Guidelines division was formed to assist members in these other regulation that affects the accountancy profession. They include :-
   
Anti Money Laundering and Anti Terrorism Financing
Corporate Law
Insolvency
Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia
   
This division will function as a channel to update members through circulars, e-news and website and act as a conduit to allow our members to channel their views and maintain dialogues with the authorities regulating the above areas. In addition, we also provide comments and respond to all proposals and consultative documents issued by these regulators affecting the accountancy profession.
