The status

enjoy full membership status and may elect representatives to the
Council of the Institute
Licence to
practice as a professional accountant in business.
Licence to
practice as an approved auditor.
Qualified to
act as a company secretary.
Eligible to
apply tax agent license with relevant experience.
Entitlement of Membership
Members will
be entitled to use the distinguishing letters C.A.(M), L.A.(M) or A.M.(M)
after their names.
Members are
entitled to access “Members only” sites under MIA Homepage.
Members
receive technical support from the Institute.
Members are
provided with technical information through circulars, bulletin and the
Institute’s journal “Accountants Today”. And keep members abreast of the
latest developments in the profession through the MIA Professional
Development Centre (MPDC) Programmes.
Members will
enjoy a discount on the courses or seminars organized by the Malaysian
Institute of Accountants.
Members will
be entitled to purchase publications of Malaysian Institute of
Accountants and attend MPDC courses at a members’ rate.
Members will
be given the opportunity to participate in the technical and social
activities organized by the Institute.
Members are
entitled to use all MIA Resource Centre facilities.
Members will
enjoy discount for courses organized by other professional body e.g. CPA
Austalia, MICPA etc
Members are
entitled for a Complimentary Budget Booklet
Tax online
advice after the Budget announcement
Members will
receive monthly MIA E-news – connected with the latest updates from the
Institute.
Members may
attend evening talk and dialogue session which is complementary.
MIA
Toastmaster Club, an international toastmaster club, open to members and
participation entitles for CPE credit hours.
