The successful candidate will assist the Technical Director in managing Financial Reporting Standards Implementation Committee (FRSIC) activities, providing technical support to the Institute, its Council and members and handling the day-to-day operations of the Professional Standards and Practices Department including the administration of the Department and its personnel in relation to all technical matters affecting the Institute.
Requirements:

MANAGER - FINANCIAL STATEMENTS REVIEW
The successful candidate will assist the Senior Manager to offer technical expertise to the Financial Statement Review Committee (FSRC) and drive the financial statements surveillance programme in monitoring the quality of financial statements that are prepared by or are the responsibility of members of MIA, for the purpose of determining compliance with statutory and other requirements, approved accounting standards and approved auditing standards; and generally accepted accounting and auditing standards and practices.
Requirements:-
Professional qualification or a Degree in Accountancy and a member of MIA
At least 3 years of relevant working experience as an Audit Manager from a Big Four Firm or Medium size firm
Familiar with accounting standards, auditing standards and other statutory requirements in relation to financial reporting
Resourceful and able to conduct research on related discipline
Technically sound and able to identify inconsistencies or uncertainties with respect of the preparation and presentation of financial statements and issues relating to financial reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High degree of self-motivation and able to work independently
Able to inspire confidence and rise up to challenges constructively
The successful candidates will assist the Investigation Committee of the Institute in investigating complaints against member accountants which involves, among others, reviews of audit working papers to establish and evaluate the compliance with accounting and auditing standards.
Requirements:
·Tertiary or professional qualification in Accountancy and a member of MIA
·Minimum 5 - 7 years of audit experience, and must be in current employment with a major or medium size audit firm
·Possess strong analytical skills and must be good in report writing
·Good knowledge of Auditing and Accounting Standards
·Able to meet tight timelines and work under a challenging and dynamic working environment
MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER - MPDC
The successful candidates will work with the Head of MIA Professional Development Centre, the training arm of the Institute, producing and managing training programmes, seminars, mini conferences and special educational events organized for the accounting fraternity, which will include, inter alia; planning, undertaking research on topics, securing speakers, project budgeting, preparation of publicity and promotional materials, managing marketing activities, and preparation of post event financials and management reporting.
Requirements:-
·Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline
·Minimum 3 years working experience in training and development industry especiallyproducing and managing public training programmes
·Able to source speakers/trainers
·Possess good command of English and able to prepare project management report/working papers
·Exposure/Understanding of the accountancy industry/profession in broad perspective would be an added advantage
·Proficient in MS-Office software applications
·Able to manage and lead subordinates
ASSISTANT MANAGER PUBLIC PRACTICE
The successful candidate will drive projects and initiatives in all aspects relating to public practice matters which include undertaking research on relevant areas affecting the profession; conducting events to uphold the quality and service delivery of public practice; review and respond to new regulatory framework affecting the public practice; and liaise with the appropriate authorities in relation to public practice matters. He/ She will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the Public Practice Department.
Requirements:
·Degree in Finance or accounting professional qualifications and a member of MIA
·Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting practice, experience in research work is an added advantage
·Those without the above exposure but have relevant business or law degree may also be considered
·Good general knowledge of the Malaysian business, financial and capital market environment
ASSISTANT MANAGER FINANCE
The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of reports, assist in monitoring the day to day operation of the Finance Department, preparation of annual budget and tax computation.
Requirements:
·Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy and a member of MIA
·At least 5 years of related working experience or 2 years in a managerial role in commercial environment, experience in auditing is an added advantage.
·Familiar with computerized accounting system and proficient in Microsoft Office software application
·Able to meet tight timelines and work under a challenging and dynamic working environment
·Articulate, results driven, assertive and has high standard of attention to detail
SENIOR EXECUTIVE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS REVIEW
The successful candidate will assist in the process of monitoring the quality of financial statements through review process conducted by the Financial Statements Review Committee of the Institute. He/She will also assist the Senior Manager and/or Manager(s) in providing technical support by collating, analysing and making recommendations based on review findings.
Requirements:-
Possess professional qualification or a Degree in Accountancy
At least 3 years related working experience, preferably in a medium or Big Four firms
Familiar with accounting standards and/or auditing standards
Resourceful and able to conduct research on related discipline
Able to plan, attention to details and good organization and communication skills
EXECUTIVE EDUCATION (STAKEHOLDER LINGKAGES)
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Education Department of the Institute to execute and supervise all marketing activities relating to the MIA Qualifying Examination (QE), Bridging Course and any other activities initiated/implemented by Education Department.
Requirements:-
·Degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Mass Communication or related field
·At least 2 - 3 years related working experience preferably in marketing & promotions activities
·Proficient in MS-Office software applications
·Able to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both oral and written
·Able to work independently with minimum supervision
·Able to plan, attention to details and good organisation skills
·Able to interact with people at all levels professionally

EXECUTIVE ENFORCEMENT
The successful candidate will assist the Manager in the investigation of complaints conducted by the Investigation Committee of the Institute. The incumbent will be expected to provide technical support by conducting legal and other research pertaining to investigation matters as well as performing administrative duties.
Requirements:-
·An Honours Degree in Law from a reputable and recognized university, and admission to the Malaysian Bar
·At least 3 - 5 years experience in litigation practice and/or regulatory/professional body
·An appreciation of administrative law and knowledge of investigation / disciplinary procedures within a professional context would be an advantage
·Resourceful and able to conduct research on related disciplines
·Aptitude and willingness to learn and able to work under pressure
FRONT DESK ASSISTANT RESOURCES CENTRE
The successful candidate will handle all daily incoming and outgoing calls.Other duties would include handling all general enquiries and providing general information regarding the Institute and the accountancy profession to members, attending to members and students using the MIA Resource Centre, to receive delivery of books and other goods purchased and/or donated to the Resource Centre and other administrative duties.
Requirements:-
At least SPM / Certificate in related field
Have good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
Experience in related filed is an advantage
Goodinterpersonal skills and possess a pleasant personality
