Job Opening

1)            ASSISTANT MANAGER -  ENFORCEMENT

 

The successful candidate will assist in investigation conducted by the Investigation Committee of the Institute in respect of complaints against its members.  The successful candidate will also provide technical and legal support to the relevant Committees of the Institute, including drafting of legal documents and conducting legal research in areas affecting the accountancy profession in Malaysia.

 

Requirements:-

  • An Honours Degree in Law from a reputable and recognized university, and admission to the Malaysian Bar
  • An appreciation of administrative law and knowledge of investigation / disciplinary procedures within a professional context would be an advantage
  • Relevant accounting qualifications or knowledge would be preferable
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in a legal firm preferably with some experience in litigation, and with good drafting and research skills
  • Resourceful and able to conduct research on related disciplines
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and able to work under pressure

2)     SENIOR EXECUTIVE / EXECUTIVE – ENFORCEMENT (2 positions)

 

Position 1

The successful candidate will assist in the investigation conducted by the Investigation Committee of the Institute in respect of complaints against its members. He/She will assist the Manager in providing technical support to the Investigation Committee of the Institute by collating, analyzing and making recommendations upon factual data and evidence.

 

Requirements:-

·         Possess professional qualification or a Degree in Accountancy

·         At least 3 years related working experience in a medium or Big Four firms

·         Familiar with auditing and accounting standards

·         Resourceful and able to conduct research on related discipline

 

 

Position 2

The successful candidate will assist the Manager(s) and the Investigation Committee of the Institute in the investigation of cases against members. The incumbent will be expected to provide technical support to the Investigation Committee of the Institute by conducting legal and other research as well as performing administrative duties.

 

Requirements:-

·           Degree in Law from a reputable and recognized university

·           Have been called to the Malaysian Bar, preferably with experience in litigation

·           2-4 years experience in a law firm and/or regulatory/professional body

·           Resourceful and able to conduct research on related discipline

·           Strong drafting and analytical skills

 

 

 

3)     SENIOR EXECUTIVE – PROF. STANDARDS & PRACTICES

 

The successful candidate will assist in performing research to respond to enquiries from members and participate in technical projects of the Professional Standards and Practices Department.

 

Requirements: 

  • Possess professional qualification or a Degree in Accountancy
  • Audit Senior who has at least three (3) years working experience in medium or Big Four firms
  • Have interest in the accounting profession and technical aspects of the accounting and auditing standards
  • Resourceful and able to conduct research on related discipline

  • Able to work independently with initiative and has passion in learning and sharing knowledge

  •  Involvement in facilitating training would be an added advantage

 

4)     SENIOR EXECUTIVE – COMMUNICATIONS

 

The successful candidate will support the Communications team in managing the reputation/credibility of the Institute through all forms of communication channels. The candidate also liaises with key stakeholders and engages in project planning so that MIA’s PR activities are able to achieve the desired outcome.

 

Requirements:-

 

·           Recognised relevant academic and professional qualifications

·           Minimum 3 years working experience in media or public relations. Working experience with a Public Relations agency will be an added advantage.

·           Able to function effectively as a team player and work independently with minimum supervision when required

·           Possess flair for writing especially in areas concerning business correspondence and report-writing

·           Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English

·           Preferred language(s): Mandarin

·           Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels

 

5)     MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (CONTRACT - 2 YEARS)

The successful candidate will assist the Manager in coordinating the Institute’s activities in respect of the Institute’s membership recruitment and development. He/She will be required to visit firms and organizations to promote the membership of the Institute. He/She will be required to give talks and participate in exhibitions and activities to promote and disseminate information on the Institute.

Requirements:-

  • Degree in Management, Marketing, Mass communication/Business/ Economics or Related fields
  • At least 2 – 3 years relevant marketing experience An outgoing personality with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Possess own transport

6)    ACCOUNT ASSISTANT

 

The successful candidates are responsible for the day to day accounting and administrative duties in Finance Department.

 

Requirements:-

 

ź  LCCI/STPM or equivalent; with at least a credit in Mathematics and English

ź  1-2 years working experience

 

7)    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (JB Branch)

 

The successful candidate will assist the Johor Branch Manager in the day to day administrative duties. He/She will also assist in handling enquiries on related matters affecting the department.

 

Requirements:-

 

ź  STPM/Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 2 years working experience

ź  Must have experience in administrative work

ź  Be a self-starter and results-oriented

ź  Experience in handling databases is an added advantage
