Description about the Investigation Committee:
The Disciplinary Committee is a statutory committee of
the Institute established by the Accountants Act, 1967.
It comprises five members of the Council. The main
duties of the Committee are to carry out disciplinary
proceedings and make decisions against members in
respect of cases referred by the Investigation
Committee. The Committee in accordance with the
Malaysian Institute of Accountants (Disciplinary) Rules,
2002 would impose such penalties as the Committee may
deem appropriate where the Committee finds that a
complaint has been proven against a member.
